All American Foods

As I have been preparing for next Saturday, Lithuania Night!!!, I remembered a list I had made a few weeks ago...a friend of mine was having her brother and his new bride (from England) as houseguests. She had recently been to England for the wedding and had tried many foods, so she wanted to prepare some American foods in return. This was intriguing to me, so I researched a bit to come up with a list of foods that we claim here in The United States. I started wondering what foods our neighbors would find if they researched our country for their own Ethnic Food Night!! Now, of course, we have a very mixed culture, and many of our foods come from the various countries our ancestors originate, but here is the list I came up with: All American Foods Breakfast: Biscuits and gravy Waffles Hashbrowns Scrambled eggs Pancakes Donuts Bacon (ours is different, isn't it?) French toast Lunch/dinner Hot dogs/ burgers/ corndogs! Philly cheesesteaks  Rueben sandwich Cob salad Buffalo wings Baked beans Cornbread Clam chowder Fajitas Po boy sandwich Chili Fried chicken Mashed potatoes Corn on the cob Greenbean casserole Sweet potatoes Pulled pork Nachos Cheesy potatoes Desserts: Rootbeer Floats Vernors floats Pumpkin pie Pecan pie rice pudding Ice cream Fruit pies Chocolate cake? Banana cream pudding
